Whilst the Gastric Sleeve may mean less ongoing maintenance than other options, there are still lifestyle changes to be made to achieve the best results. Within our clinic we have developed a package for patients to ensure they get all the support needed for the first 12 months following surgery. The package is included in the upfront cost. 

Included in your Gastric Sleeve package are the following services:

• Unlimited consultations by phone, email, or face to face with patient liaison staff
• All consultations with the surgeon
• 2 Appointments with our Dietitian
• 1 Appointment with the Psychologist
• 3 post-ope workshops with our psychologist and dietitian at 6 weeks, 6 mths, and 12 mths after surgery
• A Diet Plate to assist with portion control education 

Additional Gastric Sleeve Costs

Before you proceed with your gastric sleeve surgery, you will undergo three assessment appointments to determine your suitability for the procedure and to prepare you for your weight loss journey.

Initial Appointments

Once initial discussions with the patient liaison staff to ask any general questions you will need to visit with the surgeon, dietitian and psychologist if you decide to proceed to the next step. The cost of these appointments is as follows:

• Initial surgical consultation: $140 (GP referral required-Medicare rebate applies)
• Dietitian consultation and assessment (45 min): $120 (Health fund rebate may apply)
• Psychologist consultation and assessment (50 min): $220.00 (Health fund rebate may apply)

Once you have completed these appointments and you wish to proceed with the surgery you will receive a theatre date, which could be as early as two weeks away. You'll need to arrange payment of your package fee within 7 days from surgery, and we can discuss finance, superannuation access or other payment options with you at this time.

Ongoing Costs

All appointments for the first 12 months are included in the initial fee. At the end of the first year, any additional appointments with the team will be charged at the normal consulting rate of which you may receive medicare or health fund rebates.
