The rule of thumb that we work on to consider eligibility is as follows but you should discuss your individual circumstances with your GP and Dr Layani.

Gastric Banding

BMI 35+ OR
BMI 30+ with obesity related co-morbidity such as Type II diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnoea, infertility, mobility issues

Gastric Sleeve

BMI 40+ OR
BMI 35+ with obesity related co-morbidity such as Type II diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnoea, infertility, mobility issues
